Organization About Drops
We really want to have respect for nature.
drops
It means “drop” in English. Each drop of rain has carved the valley over many years. Even now, each “drop” continues to scrape the bottom of the river and continue to the sea, nurturing life. We, who have the name “Shizuku,” wish to “continue to protect this beautiful nature and landscape” just as a drop of moss nurtures a beautiful landscape and a variety of living creatures.
Native Americans have always valued names for people and nature, as “calling names shows respect for others. In the forest, some people ask us, “What is this name? When we walk in nature, we want to know its name and background.
We support encounters with the wonders of the forest and discover with everyone the “background” behind the nature in front of us. And we help you to “call names” with all your heart. And we use the proceeds from the tours for research and conservation of Sandankyo, and work to preserve this environment for the next 100 years to come.
Introduction Our Business
To an outdoor museum of experience and learning
Tours are planned and offered by Sanken members based on research conducted by Sanken (NPO Sandankyo – Ota River Basin Study Group), a non-profit organization that conducts research and studies of Sandankyo. The trip begins with a unique experience only possible in this place because it is led by guides who love and cherish Sandankyo.

We want to protect the richness of nature.
Proceeds from the tours are used for field conservation and research through Sanken. We conduct conservation of endangered butterflies, monitoring of river creatures such as the giant salamander, and patrols to protect rare plants from theft.

Symbiosis, not Competition
If we look closely at nature, we see not a world of the weak and the strong, but a rich society in which we live in harmony with each other. It has much to teach us. The same is true of the relationship between cities and satoyama. Nature in the West China Mountains cannot be maintained without human intervention. By visiting Sandan Gorge and participating in tours, the environment in urban areas can also be protected.

Ecotourism Support
At the request of local governments and companies, we train ecotour guides, develop programs, provide training for employees, and accept inspection tours.

Environmental Education
We offer a variety of environmental education programs for school corporations and other organizations, ranging from nature interaction experiences for kindergarten children to specialized training at vocational schools and universities.
